WHAT IS A MINI SESSION?
​
Simply, shortened versions of my full session offering at a specified date and location but at a fraction of the cost. It's a great opportunity if you haven't ventured into family photography, to try out the experience and get a taster of what could be a regular thing, as kids get older and go from one milestone to the next! There's usually one person in the family who's always taking the photos and never actually in them, therefore, many parents do these every year, purely to get a fresh batch of images where everyone is present!

IT'S A STRESS FREE & EASY SOLUTION FOR UPDATING FAMILY PHOTOS
A mini photo session is easier to schedule and more convenient for busy families who don't want to set aside a large chunk of the day for a photo session. Plus, you can tick off gift ideas for the next few months for grandparents and other family.
YOU DON'T WANT TO COMMIT TO THE COST OF A REGULAR SESSION
These sessions are a great opportunity to try me out and treat this as a 'taster' of what it's like to have me as your family photographer. It's a good plan, before committing to the cost of a full session.
YOU'RE WORRIED THE CHILDREN WON'T LAST A FULL HOUR
​If your children have a short attention span, these mini sessions are going to suit you and them far better. I've got a few things up my sleeve, for eg games and silly things to do in order to reduce the chance of any boredom creeping in.

400 cherry trees were planted by around 5000 girl guides in from all over Scotland in the 1930's, at the south end of this beautiful park in the heart of Edinburgh's leafy south side.
It's the perfect spot for beautiful spring photos and I'd love to see you there!
BOOKING DEPOSIT
​When you book, a £50 non-refundable deposit is payable. This will contribute towards the mini photo session cost of £99.
​
The remaining balance is payable on the day of the session.
​
There will be 16 slots available, across the 2 days.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect a fun packed 20 minutes of photography where children can immerse themselves in the magic of spring.

After the photos have been captured, I'll take you through the order process that follows.

There will be some upgrade options should you wish to purchase additional images.

I'M KIRSTY,
My family and I enjoy an outdoor loving life in Rosewell in Midlothian, with nature on our doorstep. I love old things, upcycling and can't let a day go past without a steady supply of tea.

I honestly get a tingle of excitement every time I capture wonderful, authentic moments for families just like yours in the beauty of the great outdoors or in that special place you call home.

Spring in Edinburgh is my absolute favourite time. I always remember the huge cherry tree in our back garden where I grew up coming into bloom. I'd sit in it's branches concocting potions and making blossom soup!

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE PHOTOGRAPHED? The maximum number of participants will be 6.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? Sessions will be postponed only if it is very heavy rain.
DOES THE COST OF THE PHOTO SESSION INCLUDE THE DEPOSIT? Yes. The £50 deposit you pay when you book will contribute towards the £99 cost of the experience. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
IS THERE A MINIMUM / MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT? Due to time constraints, no very young babies, other than that, this experience is suitable for children of any age.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN'T ATTEND ON THE DAY? The booking deposit is non-refundable, however if for some reason beyond your control you can't attend the photo session on the day, you will be able to use your £50 booking deposit, towards a another family photo session booked within 6 months.
HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW THE IMAGES? Approximately 1 week after your session, you will be given access to a private, password protected online gallery. From there you will be able to select your favourite 5 images then download those as digitals straight to your computer.
WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN 5 DIGITALS? There will be the chance to purchase more digitals or choose an upgrade package should you wish, directly from your gallery.
WHAT IF THE BLOSSOM IS PAST IT'S BEST? I obviously can't guarantee when the blossom will be at it's peak. These dates have been chosen based on previous years and this being the typical period when the blossom is out. If it's past it's best, there will be lots on the ground to play with for children and you'll still get some lovely family memories, something you'll certainly not regret.
