WHAT IS A MINI SESSION?

Simply, shortened versions of my full session offering but at a fraction of the cost. It's a great opportunity if you haven't ventured into family photography, to try out the experience and get a taster of what could be a regular thing, as kids get older and go from one milestone to the next! There's usually one person in the family who's always taking the photos and never actually in them, therefore, many parents do these every year, purely to get a fresh batch of images where everyone is present!

IT'S A STRESS FREE & EASY SOLUTION FOR UPDATING FAMILY PHOTOS
A mini photo session is easier to schedule and more convenient for busy families who don't want to set aside a large chunk of the day for a photo session. Plus, you can tick off gift ideas for the next few months for grandparents and other family.
YOU DON'T WANT TO COMMIT TO THE COST OF A REGULAR SESSION
These sessions are a great opportunity to try me out and treat this as a 'taster' of what it's like to have me as your family photographer. It's a good plan, before committing to the cost of a full session.
YOU'RE WORRIED THE CHILDREN WON'T LAST A FULL HOUR
​If your children have a short attention span, these mini sessions are going to suit you and them far better. I've got a few things up my sleeve, for eg games and silly things to do in order to reduce the chance of any boredom creeping in.
IT'S A SEASONAL THING...
Mini photo sessions are often timed with the changing seasons. Spring, Autumn and Christmas proving very popular. A limited number of slots are made available to book within a short 2 day period. The best way to secure one of the slots is to sign up to a waiting list.

Could not recommend Kirsty more!! I had my son booked for one of her Christmas Mini shoots and it couldn't have gone better. She made my little boy super comfortable from the get go and really let him take his time and find his groove in terms of using the props and set up. HOW IT WORKS

LOCATIONS
Your mini session will take place in an outdoor location in and around Edinburgh.
​
A lot of thought goes into deciding on the right location.
​
For Christmas minis, things are a little different. These are done indoors with a magical set up the children adore.
WHAT'S THE COST?
​Mini sessions last 30 minutes and are priced at £99. When you book, a £50 non-refundable deposit is payable.
​
Also included are 5 digital images.
​
The remaining balance is payable on the day of the session.
​
There are usually 16 slots that can be booked over a 2 day period.
​
WHAT TO EXPECT
A fun packed 20 minutes of photography where children can immerse themselves in the magic of spring, autumn or Christmas.

After the photos have been captured, I'll take you through the order process that follows.
​
There will be some upgrade options should you wish to purchase additional images.
HOW DO YOU BOOK?
When you join the pre-book list you will be granted booking priority and receive an exclusive early bird discount.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE PHOTOGRAPHED?
The maximum number of participants will be 6.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Sessions will be postponed only if it is very heavy rain.
DOES THE COST OF THE PHOTO SESSION INCLUDE THE DEPOSIT?
Yes. The £50 deposit you pay when you book will contribute towards the £99 cost of the experience. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
IS THERE A MINIMUM / MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT?
Due to time constraints, no very young babies, other than that, mini sessions are suitable for children of any age.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN'T ATTEND ON THE DAY?
The booking deposit is non-refundable, however if for some reason beyond your control you can't attend the photo session on the day, you will be able to use your £50 booking deposit, towards a future family photo session booked within 6 months.
HOW WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW THE IMAGES?
Approximately 1 week after your session, you will be given access to a private, password protected online gallery. From there you will be able to select your favourite 5 images then download those as digitals straight to your computer.

WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN 5 DIGITALS?
There will be the chance to purchase more digitals or choose an upgrade package should you wish, directly from your gallery.

Spring in Edinburgh is my absolute favourite time. I always remember the huge cherry tree in our back garden where I grew up coming into bloom. I'd sit in it's branches concocting potions and making blossom soup!
